Take action for the protection and flourishing of God’s beautiful creation.
1 September - 4 October 2024
Join the Climate Challenge
2023 marked the hottest year on record and in the first few months of 2024 alone we have experienced record-breaking heat across Australia.
Our hearts break witnessing the damage and destruction caused by the warming of our world to the health and flourishing of God’s creation.
We know we can’t fix the climate crisis by ourselves, yet we know that the world needs to change.
As Christians, we know that in our lives and our communities we can demonstrate the shape of that change. We can show that another world is possible.
That’s why we’re inviting you to sign up to the Climate Challenge. Take action this September to reduce your ecological foot print, and help raise awareness and funds for urgent climate action.
We all have a role to play in calling for and taking urgent climate action together. The 2024 Climate Challenge is your opportunity to shift the way you live towards a more sustainable future, ask for support from your community, and inspire others to do the same.
Register now to take part in the Climate Challenge.
Take action in hope.
This September show your passion for urgent climate action by challenging yourself to make a month-long change in how you live, in one or more of the following areas:
‘Sustain My Plate’ - Change your diet
‘Shelve My Purchases’ - Buy nothing new
‘Shift My Gears’ - Change your transport
.
By joining the Challenge you will:
- Hop off the merry-go-round of overconsumption.
- Save money by reducing your carbon footprint.
- Help raise funds for climate action.
- And prophetically demonstrate that our communities and our nation can act boldly to cut emissions.
Taking action together.
We know that the actions of individuals alone are not enough. Through our collective actions, we can spark our broader communities to join in calling together for bold, urgent, and tangible actions that change the systems and structures needed to address the climate crisis.
When we act together, we are stronger. With this in mind, we encourage you to invite others to join you in undertaking the Climate Challenge to show our commitment to a sustainable planet, as we call our communities and nation to do the same.
When hundreds and thousands of us decide to reduce our carbon footprint and raise our voices to share why this matters to our lives, our communities, and our planet we can spark meaningful action for the good of all.
Challenge yourself to take action for change.
