Mix your craft skills and passion for action on climate change this election!

We are inviting the Common Grace movement to Knit for Climate Action this election as we prepare to gift scarves to our newly elected MPs and Senators in the lead up to #ShowYourStripes, 21 June 2022.

Can you help us call for urgent climate action?

We have just updated our Knit for Climate Action scarf pattern to include data from 2020 and 2021. If you have finished knitting a scarf, half-finished one, or plan to knit one, please keep going!

We are hoping to have scarves knitted ready to gift every newly elected Federal MP and Senator a Knit for Climate Action scarf. Can you help us send a generous, heartfelt and clear call for our newly elected leaders to take urgent climate action and champion the development of a bolder, more ambitious and more targeted action plan on climate change?

If you would like to knit a scarf to be gifted to our newly elected leaders please register your interest by filling in this google doc here

Common Grace will be coordinating the gifting of these scarves in the lead up to #ShowYourStripes Day, 21 June 2022, where we will be calling on all of our nation’s leaders to #WearTheScarf and show their commitment to taking urgent climate action.

If knitting’s not your thing, that’s okay!

You can support Knit for Climate Action by sharing it on social media and encouraging any knitters you know to participate.

We want to get these scarves into the hands of our newly elected representatives in 2022, so they are inspired to take action on the climate crisis. We need your help today to achieve this goal. Donate today to help demand urgent climate action.
