Our Fathers Garden, Conservation & Restoration Weekend (Mount Tamborine Convention Centre)
September 18 - 20 2026
As part of Season of Creation, Franklin Sanders, friend of the Common Grace movement from Healing Habitats, is helping coordinate a Rainforest Retreat in Mount Tamborine. Step away from the screens. Step into a sanctuary of nature, faith, and a creation care community. Join us for an inspiring and restorative weekend of ecological conservation. You're invited to attend for a day or stay for the long weekend.

ABLE Bystander Training (Sydney)
Sunday 20th September, 12pm - 3:30pm
Together with the Cottage Counselling Centre, Common Grace are hosting an Active Bystander Leadership and Empowerment (ABLE) Workshop - a practical, faith-informed training designed to equip Christians and churches to better understand and respond to domestic and family violence, as well as the underlying drivers of gendered-violence in our communities.
The ABLE Workshop is an interactive three-hour training that will equip you to become a more informed, confident, and compassionate bystander. You will be better able to notice harm, challenge violence-supporting attitudes, and respond safely and wisely.
We’re pleased to share that our next workshop will be hosted by Seaforth Baptist Church. As a partner of Common Grace, Seaforth Baptist are hosting and participating in this bystander training as part of their commitment to being a safe church.

Fossil Fuel Treaty Public Gatherings
Tuesday 6th October
Common Grace is joining a growing global movement calling for a Fossil Fuel Treaty: an international agreement to phase out coal, oil and gas. This call, championed by Pacific nations, offers an important opportunity for Christians to stand with our Pacific neighbours and advocate for a just transition away from fossil fuels.

As Pacific leaders gather in Fiji this October for the Pre-COP Summit to press for stronger climate leadership, we have a chance to show them that Australia's faith communities are standing alongside them.Public gatherings will be held across Australia ahead of the Pre-COP Summit in Fiji.

Common Hope Conference (Sydney)

What could it look like if more churches were known for responding to the challenges facing our communities – not just with concern, but with hope-filled action?
This October, three organisations – Hope Economy, Tearfund and Common Grace – are coming together to host the inaugural Common Hope Conference.
Common Hope is a new one-day gathering for Christians who long to see the Church embody the hope of Christ through justice, compassion and action. Together we'll explore how the gospel shapes our response to the issues our communities face while encouraging one another with practical ideas, stories and opportunities to take the next step in our local contexts.
Come and be encouraged, challenged and equipped alongside others who have a common calling and a shared hope. Because lasting change isn't something we pursue alone; it's something we build together.
