Today the Labor party voted to oppose the recent migration bill amendments when they are introduced!
“This is a victory for everyone in the community who stood up and made their voices heard. It’s a victory for everyone who have said loud and clear that they won’t tolerate the Labor and Liberal parties’ race to the bottom about who can treat asylum seekers the worst.”
– Andrew Wilkie, MP.
Is that the end of it? NO!
Even with Labor and the Greens both committed to opposing the legislation, we need Senator Nick Xenophon’s team to oppose the amendments in the Senate in order for it to be blocked.
Their office is considering community responses now, so we have to act fast!
