Join us on May 18 at 7:30pm AEST as we gather together to honour the amazing work of our knitters, hear about the next steps of Knit for Climate Action, and be inspired and equipped to help build momentum for June 21 when we will be gathering at Federal Parliament in Canberra to present these scarves to our nation's leaders.
June 21 is winter solstice and #ShowYourStripes day where we will be sharing our #CommonThreads and will be asking Parliamentarians to take action to #StopTheRed. This is a key moment for us to come together to call for action on climate change and we would love for you to be involved.
This gathering is for:
- anyone who has knitted
- anyone who has signed up to knit
- anyone who wants to meet with their local MP to put Climate Justice on the Federal agenda
- anyone who wants to hear about #ShowYourStripes Day
Please join us for a night of inspiration, of learning, and thinking about how we can help build momentum for #ShowYourStripes Day by joining together to make a deeper impact for creation and climate justice.
Fill in your details to register to attend our zoom event on May 18.
We will also find out about ongoing opportunities to support the Knit for Climate Action campaign during July with plans to gift scarves to every MP and Senator across the country. We would love to invite you to join us in helping engage MPs in their electorates through having climate-centred conversations around the need for a bold and credible national plan to tackle our climate emergency.
Join us to find out how you can add your voice to calls for climate action on #ShowYourStripes Day and what you need to know about taking the opportunity to meet with your local MP.
We look forward to gathering with you all on May 18!
