Tonight, with God, we hold

Every precious life, taken too soon

Tonight, with God, we hold

The suffering, the pain, the trauma, the death

Tonight, with God, we hold

The grieving families, still awaiting answers and justice

Tonight with God, we hold

The systemic issues, the longstanding inequalities

Tonight, with God, we hold

The silencing, inaction and apathy across our churches and our nation

Tonight, with God, we hold

The power of our prayers, our faith, our collective action

Tonight, with God, we hold

The light of God’s redemption and mercy, His comfort to all those who mourn

Tonight, with God, we hold

Hope for change - for compassion, love and a better future for our children and grandchildren.
