Join us at our upcoming Election Policy Deep Dive Webinar, Tuesday 8th April, 7:30-9:00pm AEST, to be equipped for conversations with candidates around our key policy asks.
During this election period, we are calling on our leaders to commit to making decisions that are just, that seek the good of others, and that move us towards a vision of safe, free, and flourishing communities - now and in the future.
For our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters, that involves speaking with them against a youth justice and incarceration system that disproportionately harms First Nations children; and speaking up for a more unified, compassionate, and culturally safe approach to youth justice in our nation. For people seeking asylum that involves calling on our nation to do our part in responding generously and compassionately to those seeking safety on our shores. And when it comes to climate and creation care, it means calling for urgent and decisive action to address both the worsening impacts of climate change and our nation’s contribution to the crisis. This includes rapidly reducing emissions, ending reliance on fossil fuels, and implementing policies that protect communities and ecosystems from further harm.
