Safe, Free and Flourishing

for the common good and our common home

__________

In the lead-up to the 2025 federal election, Common Grace is inviting our movement to join in prayer and action to help move our nation towards the safe, free, and flourishing future that God intends. We will be providing a range of resources and opportunities to help you reflect on engaging in the federal election from a Christian perspective, get involved in creative advocacy actions, and attend workshops to be equipped to meet with your local candidates to call for just policy commitments.

Please register your interest in joining in action this election to speak and act together for the common good, finding common ground, and sharing in common grace.

It has been a tumultuous three years since our last federal election with the escalation of conflict and displacement across the world, living through the devastation of what has been the hottest year on record, rising cost of living pressures, and the defeat of the 2023 Voice Referendum closer to home. Following the recent American election, many people are concerned about the divisive tone of the national conversation that is likely to unfold leading up to the election, expected between March - May 2025.

Amidst the weariness and scepticism that so many are feeling, we want to be a source of hope and a pointer to the way things could be and should be. Join us as we prepare our hearts and minds, praying for wisdom and discernment as we approach this coming election.

This election we pray for gracious debate and just policy commitments, from parties and candidates, that seek the good of others and move us toward a vision for justice that genuinely prioritises the poor, and care for God’s beautiful creation.

This election, join with people across the Common Grace movement to actively participate in the conversation.

Over the coming months, Common Grace will be sharing contributions from various Australian Christian leaders and thinkers through our 2025 Lent Series, and providing resources such as conversation guides and opportunities to be equipped to help spark gracious conversations for change in your communities and with candidates.

We're looking forward to sharing resources and opportunities to engage soon!
