Get Creative and Take Action!
As the 2025 Federal Election approaches, Common Grace invites you to take part in a bold and creative advocacy action - designing and sending postcards to express our vote for a safe, free, and flourishing future for all!
Join us in speaking out for justice for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters, for our asylum-seeker friends looking for welcome on our shores, and for the protection and flourishing of God's beautiful creation.
Make Your Postcard
Turn 'waste into beauty' as an act of care for God’s creation! Use recycled cardboard—like cereal boxes or food packaging—to create your postcard. Cut it to 148 x 105mm (A6), then bring your vision to life!
Get Creative
Express your vision for a safe, free, and flourishing future through art! Draw, paint, or collage over the printed packaging, using colours, symbols, and words that reflect your hopes and prayers for justice. Add the words 'Safe, Free and Flourishing' on your design. Let your creativity be a powerful voice for change!
Read about our key advocacy calls for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice, justice for People Seeking Asylum and Creation and Climate justice to help inspire thoughtful and impactful postcard designs.
Write Your Message
On the back of your postcard, share a short message about the future you’re voting for in this election. Leave space for the stamp and address, and use hashtags to connect your message with others: #CommonGraceAus #SafeFreeFlourishing.

Share + Send
Before mailing your postcard, take a photo holding it and share it here and on your social media (we suggest taking your photo in landscape orientation). Tag your MP and candidates in your seat, and use @CommonGraceAus so we can amplify your voice. Then, send it to your current MP or deliver it to a candidate in your electorate. Find details of your federal electorate here.
Please note, as of the time of publishing, several MPs have announced that they will not be standing for re-election in 2025. You can find a list of these representatives here. To help you choose who to send your postcard to, the AEC website (https://electorate.aec.gov.au/) will publish the full list of candidates for each electorate once the election is called.
Get your community involved!
This is an action we would love you to invite others to join in! Share with your community and networks or host a postcard making event with a group of friends or your church community! Download our PDF doc here for a list of resources you'll need and a step by step guide to share.
We would also love to see how this idea inspires your community! Why not make posters to hang in your church or local community! Or create banners, badges or A-frame signs!
Thank you for joining us in sending a hope-filled, creative vision of the safe, free and flourishing future Christians across Australia will be voting for in 2025.
