During Lent 2025, as we approached the 2025 Federal Election, the Common Grace team invited our movement to walk through the last week of Jesus’ life in the gospels, reflecting on questions (and debunking myths) about justice and politics.
In this current climate where all talk of politics seems fraught and polarising, is there common ground and a way to move forward as Christians? As churches feel more and more cautious to engage on public issues, how do we work together towards a better world and an integrated expression of our faith in the public sphere?
Many across our movement feel deep discomfort, grief and anger at the broken systems that continue to harm God’s creation and the most vulnerable in our communities. What does it look like for us, as followers of Jesus, to be faithful and present in our world, at this moment?
This seven week podcast series featured discussions between Common Grace team members and friends. Each week conversations contemplated the controversies and conflicts of the final days of Jesus’ journey to the cross, reflecting on how this should shape our public faith today.
This series featured conversations between Byron Smith, Erica Mandi Manga, Graeme Anderson, Scott Higgins, Felicity McCormack alongside the Common Grace team including Gershon Nimbalker, Safina Stewart, Bianca Manning, Jane Kelly, Ellaina Welsman and James Harris.
