This land was invaded by my ancestors, wrongly claimed as their own, and continues to be occupied without treaty. I will do all I can to respect this land, taking no more than I need and working to restore some of the harm done to it by generations before me.


I also acknowledge that Aboriginal peoples have a strong spirit of survival, having survived for over 60,000 years. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
