Imagine on January 26th people's Facebook feeds around the country being filled with their friends publicly acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and what this day means to them.

On January 26th, we're inviting Australians to identify the traditional owners of the land they live on, then publicly acknowledge them with a Facebook post – you have a real chance to use your Facebook feed for good.

So, come back to this page on January 26th to add your acknowledgement, or signup for a reminder.

To me Australia day is a day to celebrate everything that is good about our nation, and all who are part of it. The specific date does not affect me personally in any way, so if my Aboriginal brothers and sisters do not feel that they can join our celebration on January 26th, then it is my hope that in the spirit of reconciliation and unity we can find an alternate date where we can all celebrate together.
