Every year from 1 September to 4 October, Christians around the world take part in Season of Creation - a time of prayer, worship, reflection, and action as we celebrate God's beautiful earth and renew our calling to care for it.
The global Season of Creation theme for 2026 is inspired by Ezekiel 47:1–12, where God's life-giving river flows from the temple, bringing healing wherever it goes. As the river deepens, barren land is restored, waters are revived, and creation flourishes. It is a beautiful picture of God's desire to bring renewal, abundance, and life to the whole of creation.
In a world facing an escalating climate crisis, that vision feels more important than ever. Season of Creation invites us to slow down and pay attention - to delight in the beauty of God's creation, lament what is being lost, and respond with hope as we join God's work of restoration, justice, and reconciliation.
This year, Common Grace invites you to explore what it means to faithfully follow Jesus in a changing climate. Through our podcast, devotional, online events, and practical resources, we'll ask: As Christians, what kind of people are we called to be? What kind of Church do we need to become? And how can we embody God's love and hope in communities experiencing the impacts of climate change?
We'd love you to join us throughout September as we pray, learn, reflect, and take action together - trusting that, like the river in Ezekiel's vision, God's renewing work continues to bring life and hope to creation.

‘Faithful in a Changing Climate’, a Podcast Series from Common Grace
As followers of Jesus, we're called to love God, love our neighbours, and care for God's good creation. But what does that look like in a world experiencing more frequent fires, floods, heatwaves, biodiversity loss, and other climate impacts? Across Australia and the globe, Christians are wrestling with questions about climate change, hope, justice, discipleship, and the future. Through thoughtful conversations with a diverse range of guests, this series explores what it means to faithfully follow Jesus in a changing climate. Together, we'll ask: What kind of Christians - and what kind of Church - are we called to be in a future shaped by climate change?

Season of Creation Daily Devotional
Journey through the season with daily Bible passages, prayers, and poems reflecting on faith, creation, and climate justice. This devotional offers a simple way to pause each day, listen for God's voice, and deepen your relationship with creation.
Effective Climate Conversations Training
Want to feel more confident talking about climate change with friends, family, or people in your church? Most Australians are concerned about climate change, but many feel uncertain about what can be done or how to talk about it.
In this 2-hour interactive workshop, in partnership with Climate for Change, you’ll build the confidence and skills to talk about climate change in ways that truly connect with people in your life.
Through a series of engaging activities, real-life examples, and guided practice in small breakout groups, you’ll learn how to:

Navigate tricky topics and respond to common climate questions and reactions - from skepticism and apathy, to doomism and denial.

Share your own authentic climate story in a way that motivates and inspires others.

Break through the “climate silence” by turning everyday conversations into powerful opportunities for change.
This is a supportive, energising space for you to feel more confident in your own conversation skills, connect with others, and walk away feeling empowered to make an impact - starting with the people around you.
Whether you’re new to climate conversations or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will meet you where you're at and help you take the next step.
