Election 2022

Join us as we prepare our hearts and minds, praying for wisdom and discernment as we approach this coming election. Explore our range of election resources to help spark conversations, ask questions, join with others and pray for the 2022 Election.

The 2022 Federal Election has been called for Saturday 21 May.

It has been a tumultuous three years since our last federal election with floods, fires, pandemic, plagues, and social upheaval. Despite our weariness and skepticism, we want to prepare our hearts and minds, praying for wisdom and discernment as we approach this coming election.

This election we also pray for gracious debate and just policy commitments, from parties and candidates, that seek the good of others and move us toward a broader vision for justice - one that cares for the poor, the struggling, and the marginalised in our nation.

We invite you to join with the over 56,000 individuals in the Common Grace movement to actively participate in this federal election. Over the next 6 weeks leading up to Saturday 21 May, Common Grace will be sharing contributions from various Australian Christian leaders and thinkers, and also celebrate the many great initiatives by churches and Christian organisations produced for the election season.

Join us as we pray, speak and act together for the common good, finding common ground and sharing in common grace.

This election, we want Christians across these lands now called Australia to participate in the conversation.

Start with prayer

Common Grace held an Election Prayer Vigil on Wednesday May 4 at 7:30pm AEST. We gathered together in prayer, asking God to guide us with wisdom, give us courage to act and help us follow Jesus’ call to love our neighbours as we engage and vote in the 2022 Election. Register to view this recording and join us in prayer.
