This week we have been listening to emerging Aboriginal Christian Leaders from The Grasstree Gathering as they share with us their stories, ministries and experiences of Reconciliation, and invite us into friendship, solidarity and understanding with them.

The Grasstree Gathering is the vision of one of this nation's great Aboriginal Christian Leaders, Aunty Jean Phillips. Tonight in Brisbane, Aunty Jean hosted her annual soup night where she invites Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Christians together in friendship around a meal, and to fundraise support for Aboriginal Christian ministries.

At this event Aunty Jean premiered a powerful video from this year's Grasstree Gathering, and has asked us to now share this video with you as part of our Reconciliation as Friendship series:

Today, as a show of friendship and solidarity, we ask you to share this video so that more Christians across this land can learn of the importance of friendship with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters as they lead us on the path towards Reconciliation.

Reflect, Pray, Think, Act

" So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith... there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." From Galatians 3

Through Jesus, God has broken through all that divides us and has made all humanity one. God longs for deep reconciliation, for peace between all people and has done the great work of making it possible. Pray we will see with God’s eyes and ever reach our hands out in friendship - a friendship that celebrates the diversity of God’s creation of humanity.
