16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. It is used as an organising strategy by individuals and organisations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.

In 2024 we will be sharing a daily email series focused on 'Confronting Coercive Control: Equipping Christian community to recognise and respond'. This series will feature diverse contributors from across the church who have experience in advocating for and working in spaces responding to Domestic and Family Violence.

Sign up here for our 2024 series on Confronting Coercive Control.

If you're interested in creating spaces for safety and healing in our churches, and our world, please explore the daily reflections and prayer guides shared as part of our previous series below.

2019 - Foundations for Christian Action

As part of our series in 2019, we changed focus to something foundational. We raised questions (and offered answers) on how cultures of violence are formed in our society and even our churches. But, importantly, we also offered reflections, from church works and members, as well as experts, on how they can be changed.

2015 - 16 Days of Prayer

This series invited our movement to commit time to learning about and praying for an end to Family & Domestic Violence, and go deeper in engaging with and responding to this issue.
